MobileEyes Contractor Portal

TradeMaster, announced the launch of its MobileEyes Contractor Portal, a unique application that provides failsafe reporting and automated notifications concerning fire safety systems problems.

TradeMaster, the leader in mobile and cloud-based inspection and pre-plan technologies, announced the launch of its MobileEyes Contractor Portal, a unique application that provides failsafe reporting and automated notifications concerning fire safety system problems.

“We saw the MobileEyes Contractor Portal as mission critical and worked hard to create the most reliable, robust and user-friendly solution to solve a serious and persistent problem within the fire safety community,” said Joe Krehel, President of TradeMaster. The Portal automates communication between system contractors and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to prevent the possibility of system impairments or critical deficiencies slipping through the cracks unresolved.

“Coming from my past enforcement experience, the MobileEyes Portal is probably the most important thing that has happened recently in fire safety,” said Mark Riffey, Vice President, Ryan Fire Protection and National Fire Sprinkler Association member. “It’s a simple and effective way to ensure that systems are working properly and structures are safe.”

The MobileEyes Contractor Portal is designed to streamline the workflow, making contractor compliance easy, while ensuring appropriate AHJ response. For example, the Portal automatically:
• links deficiency severity with notification and response preferences
• triggers email or text message notifications to pre-designated contacts
• schedules and assigns immediate AHJ inspections

“It’s only been a few months, but the [MobileEyes Contractor] Portal has already proven to be a great tool for us,” said Courtney Gordon, Fire Marshal, City of Indianapolis Fire Department. “We’re stretched with many demands and limited resources, but the Portal has alerted us to a significant number of buildings with serious issues. In some cases, these are structures we haven’t seen in years. It’s been a major benefit for the Department, the system contractors, and the community being able to identify and respond to the highest priorities—problems that otherwise would have remained hidden.”

For existing AHJ users, the MobileEyes Contractor Portal is a simple add-on to their MobileEyes inspection software, allowing the Portal to automatically connect with their inspection schedule, structure database and other important features. Committed to the entire U.S. fire service market, TradeMaster will introduce a standalone version of the Portal later this year, geared to smaller fire departments or those with minimal inspection requirements.
